Installation instructions for the xCAD Interior standard catalog:
- The available materials have been greatly expanded and adapted to current manufacturers collections
-
The new catalog contains all catalogs that have been offered as individual downloads (catalog with tiles + Egger + FunderMAX)
- The new catalog is installed by a setup program and there is no need to "unpack" anymore
- An installed xCAD Interior 1.7.3 is a prerequisite so that the catalogue can be installed
- The catalog installs into the xCAD Interior program folder ( eg: "C:\Program Files (x86)\xCAD Interior Pro\Catalog" )
- The catalog installs into the xCAD Interior program folder of the most recently installed xCAD version (eg: PRO or Design... )
This has the following background:
If xCAD is installed the first time on a PC, then a very small demo catalog is installed and automatically loaded in the catalogue tabs when you first start xCAD.
The new catalog is a replacement for this small demo catalog and is automatically loaded on first startup of xCAD.
This is a very great simplification in the initial xCAD installation.
If you have already loaded other catalogs in xCAD, they are not replaced or changed by the new catalogs!
In this case the new catalog is not automatically loaded by xCAD. You need to load the catalog into the catalog tab (see picture):

Setup instructions:
- These downloads are self-extracting ZIP archives.
- After downloading please start the downloaded file by double clicking.
- On starting the file you are asked for a folder where the content of the archive will be extracted to. Please choose or create a folder „xCAD Catalogs“ in your documents folder.
- You can load the catalogs with xCAD after the extraction process finished. Please load the catalogs in already open catalog tabs with the command button „Load material catalog“ or „Load object catalog“ or open them in new catalog tabs with the command „Tools/Catalogs/Load material catalog“ or „Tools/Catalogs/Load object catalog“. In the following file open dialog choose the „*_en.config“ files from the extracted catalog archive.
