For xCAD Interior Light, Design and PRO:

• Material exchange with Drag&Drop into the material list only affects the visible objects (e.g. with cropped objects)
• Filter to hide 3D object textures in the material list
• "Expose objects with this material" command in the context menu of the material list (e.g. to control edges).
• Selection dialogs by text and object type in the object browser:
  • Additional option to add a new selection to existing selection
  • Selection affects only the visible objects (e.g. for cropped objects)

• For the PovRAY renderer, there are settings for camera focus blur.
• In the parts list with preview images, edge highlighting can be turned on via the preferences.
• In the parts list, the material thickness can be displayed with or without a unit (option in preferences for Parts Lists / Cut Lists).
• A landscape format printout is possible in the parts list (option in preferences for Parts Lists / Cut Lists)..

Against the background of the continuing corona pandemic and its effects on the world economy, NürnbergMesse and VDMA Woodworking Machinery have decided, in agreement with the Department of Environment and Health of the City of Nürnberg, not to hold HOLZ-HANDWERK in conjunction with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in 2020. HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE will take place again from 29 March to 1 April 2022 as scheduled according to the biennial rotation.

Highlights of the new xCAD versions:

• The xCAD Light Edition has been greatly enhanced by the fact that all essential functions for designing kitchens and furnishings are now available. The creation of floor plans and elevation plans is now also possible with xCAD Light.
• In all xCAD editions, individual model presettings can now be defined. These presettings are automatically applied when creating new cabinets and components.
• The real-time renderer is now also available in the xCAD Design Edition, so that you can present the plans and models to your customers in an even more impressive way.
• The xCAD catalogs have been updated. There are new Egger and Pfleiderer materials, a drawer catalog and examples of catalogs in the modular system for quick and easy construction of cabinet designs including CNC data.
• We will present our new object designer at the "Holz&Handwerk" trade fair in Nürnberg in March 2020. With this tool you will be able to plan desks and counters in the gastronomy, office and reception area easily and quickly.

• The wall views for different walls can be selected simply by clicking on the corresponding wall in the room selection window.
• Component selection mode: When you click on a sub-element (edge, carrier, frieze, ...), the higher-level component is selected. This simplifies the editing of components, e.g. for connection settings, if they are composed of carriers and edges.

• Part specific color mode: When editing parts built by carriers and edges, it is often difficult to see where edges are activated and where they are not.
